I had 2 1996 Dodge Dakotas. Both had the 3.9 V-6, 1 auto, 1 5 speed. Both regular cad 2 wheel drive. Both were very dependable. But they did not even come close to what I drive now. 2010 F150 FX4 with the Triton V-8 (5.4). Full size 4 door 4 wheel drive. Rides great for a truck. It is very quiet inside for a truck, and it gets better mileage then both Dakotas did!

I think the last 3 were - '85 Ram, '96 Ram & now my '03 Ram. All very reliable. Before that I had a not so good '78 Chevy.

My present ride: 2004 Ford Ranger FX4 and, BLUEBIRD333, if someone wants to speculate on my penis size because I drive a pickup then that's their problem. My truck gives me much more freedom than any car possibly could.

I'd say it was either my hubbies '85 Ram or his '96 Ram. Both were 4x4 & the '85 had a snow plow. He couldn't get stuck with it!

I'm guessing Mermaan hires a contractor to do home improvement stuff instead of doing it himself like a real man. I can't haul 8ft 2x4s in my car but I can in the box of my truck. Having a truck is a must unless you don't mind spendin the extra money to hire someone for everything. I constantly use the box and haul heavy loads on a fifth wheel and apparently we can't wash are trucks once in a while or Mermaan will criticize the size of are gentles.

Toughest and most reliable was a '75 Dodge stepside 4x4. Most fun "truck" was an '83 Dodge Rampage. Worst was a '98 Mazda B3000. Flimsiest was a '92 Chev 1500.

I'd have to say Ford since Ford is the only brand pickup I've owned in the past 54 years of driving them.
