Anybody know what movies are in the official competition at the 60th Cannes Film Festival?

Well, that's it. I'm back home. The last two movies we saw were "Seraphim Falls" and "Azuloscurocasinegro" (DarkBlueAlmostBlack) from Spain.
I didn't see any celebrities, but my honey saw Spike Lee, came back to the hotel to get a camera, but was too late getting back to take a photo.

So far we've seen "All the King's Men," "The Abandoned," "Macbeth," and "Breaking and Entering" (favorite so far). We only have tickets for six, so we have two more to do.

I just read an article mentioning that many of the films running in the Toronto International Film Festival actually ran at the Cannes Film Festival. It doesn't matter to me though, since I wasn't at Cannes.
We just found out how expensive it will be. Not only do we have to buy tickets and coupons, but also the out-of-town package. Oh well. Unless we become filthy rich, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Maybe twice. We'll see. Anyway, the trip is a done deal. We'll be in Toronto in September.
Maybe we'll do Sundance next year. Cannes? Venice?

Hi, Living in Toronto I always try to make it to at least a few movies at the Toronto Film Festival every year.I'am usually pleasantly when I see smaller unknown films that if not for the festival would not be seen by many people. In the past my wife has worked for the festival as a volunteer and has seen Nicolle Kidman,Sophia Lauren,Francis Ford Coppola and others when helping.Roger Ebert however took a hissy fit (about 2 years ago) when he flipped because he couldn't get in to see a movie when he wanted .This was in the papers. He finaly got his way but has avoided mentioning the Toronto Film Festival ever since even though he still comes and shows clips on his show from it.Oh well.Oregonio check it out there's lots of films to see and quit a few smaller films have a question and answer session with directors and actors after.

I'm sure you've never made any meaningful additions to any topics, old or new, including this one. How about removing dead topics since you've considered them dead? How about removing the word "blather" from the dictionary because only dead and inane people use it? Or how about getting a life?

Hey here's a month old topic, I think I'll put some inane comment in and bump it to the top.
Hey Oregonio, how about using JFF instead of bringing back old topics in Off Topic with your blather. It's rather annoying to see dead topics brought back with no meaningful addition made to them.

My best friend has done Sundance twice now. There's a chance that in September my honey and I will do the Toronto International Film Festival, considered the biggest in North America and most attended worldwide.
