Let's see now; if you make up your own test, can you pass it?

How did GM create the sudden acceleration problem in the smaller SUV's? Do all auto companies use the same type of computerized brake system and if so why can't Toyota find the flaw?

The simplest way is to hit the gas.

The Toyota ECU can also be hacked by shorting pins together but Toyota says that's not a credible failure.

Well, the Pontiac Vibe is a reskinned Toyota Matrix with at least 99.9% Toyota parts put together in a plant (soon to be closed) jointly owned by Toyota and GM.

Most if not all of the other GM vehicles were designed by GM divisions. Mostly Opel (GM Europe) for FWD cars, Holden (GM Australia) for RWD cars, or GM North America for trucks.

Interesting that GM got no uncommanded acceleration reports on the Vibe until after Toyota recalled their version.

That's good but now test on a heavier vehicle. Is there a reason they selected a small SUV?

Wow, our government owned auto maker has the answer to a competitor's problem. Life sure is strange.

How did they recreate sudden acceleration when Toyota still hasn't identified the cause?
