I Over -estimated the intelligence (or lack of it) from ordinary drivers.
YES - turn OFF the Ignition but DO NOT REMOVE the Key seems common sense but soon cars will have warning stickers everywhere.

Toyota should also install a brake override to cut out the accelerator in case of unintended acceleration.
